Craig M. Wax, DO, is a distinguished physician with a diverse range of expertise. As an IMA – Independent Medical Alliance Senior Fellow in Family Medicine and Health, Author, School Physician, Health Policy Expert, and Media Host, Dr. Wax has made significant contributions to the field of medicine.

Dr. Wax’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Food Science Research from Cook College of Rutgers University, followed by a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He further honed his skills through a Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manual Medicine Residency at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Wax is a dedicated advocate for individual rights, informed consent, and health freedom. He serves as a family physician, school physician, author, and media host, sharing his expertise and insights with the public.

Dr. Wax’s commitment to patient rights and informed consent is evident in his work as a host of the radio show “Health Is Number One” on WWDB 860AM, WPEN 97.5 FM HD2, and on the podcast available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Additionally, he served on the National Physicians Council on Healthcare Policy (NPCHCP) and the congressional subcommittee from 2014 to 2017. He has served on the board of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Wax’s contributions to the field of medicine have been recognized with various accolades. He was featured on the cover of Medical Economics and served on its board for seven years, publishing articles for over two decades.

Dr. Wax’s dedication to simplifying complex issues and making them accessible to the public has earned him an SPJ – Society of Professional Journalists Award. He continues to practice medicine in New Jersey and actively engages with the media and social media platforms, where he is known as @drcraigwax (X, IG, FB, TS).
