Dr. Alberto Donzelli, Senior Fellow, Public Health
Dr. Alberto Donzelli, MD, is a prominent public health expert from Italy, born in Milan in 1948. He graduated in Medicine in 1973 and holds specializations in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine and Food Science. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Donzelli has held several key positions, including Hygiene Service Manager and Health Director. He also served as a member of the Italian Superior Council of Health.
For over a decade before his retirement, Dr. Donzelli directed the Appropriateness Education and Evidence-Based Medicine Service for a large Italian Local Health Authority. His work focused on ensuring healthcare practices were both appropriate and scientifically validated. He is an author of hundreds of scientific publications, with about sixty indexed on PubMed and nine on Embase, contributing significantly to the field of public health and scientific dissemination.
Currently, Dr. Donzelli presides over the Allineare Sanità e Salute Foundation, which is dedicated to providing healthcare systems with research support and strategies to overcome conflicts of interest. He also coordinates the Independent Medical-Scientific Commission, further emphasizing his commitment to unbiased and evidence-based healthcare practices.
