Agree, the “cholesterol causes CVD” ship has sailed, and along with the “avoid salt” and “avoid sunshine,” will end up like the Titanic!

Universally recommend changing to natural, unprocessed salt, and generally without limitations. Positive effects for most illnesses and diseases.

Have observed almost universal improvement, and often resolution, after patients changing to natural, unprocessed salt and without limitations.

I would add to the “foundation” my two other “pillars of health:” sunshine and the 3 Fs – Faith, Family, and Societal/social Function!

I teach/advocate therefore for the 5 Pillars of Health: Sunshine, sleep, diet/nutrition, movement, and the 3 Fs! 😊

A functional medicine approach to heart function/failure has worked as well/better in my current practice than did a GDMT approach for many years before.

Would also review/consider HSA s and high deductible catastrophic insurance. Likelihood of needing goes down with good natural/functional medicine providers.
