David Morens was a senior adviser at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), where Anthony Fauci was director.

Morens has pleaded guilty to a federal conspiracy charge. He admitted that he and others deliberately used his personal Gmail account to keep government-related communications out of the official system and away from Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

What it does establish is significant: a senior federal health official has admitted participating in an effort to keep government business concerning COVID-related research out of the public-record system.

It raises legitimate questions about what information was being kept from public view, why people wanted it hidden, who else participated, and whether the concealment affected what the public and investigators were able to learn about federally funded coronavirus research.

He faces a maximum of five years in prison, and sentencing is currently scheduled for November 12, 2026.

Perhaps one of the dominoes is starting to fall?

Everything points to plea-bargaining with much more to come.

    Hopefully, ultimately full disclosure!
