Cancer study

I was made aware today from a patient that FLCCC is no longer involved in the cancer study using repurposed drugs, and I’d like to know the reason. I am a practitioner that is helping patients navigate the explosion of cancers, and I refer people to some of the docs that were part of that study.

Interesting and concerning. All my attempts to get more information than the original articles in Feb 2024 led to the https://imahealth.org/research/cancer-care/ page, which doesn’t reference the study at all.

Seriously?? FLCCC no longer giving protocols for CANCER CARE?

These are the protocols I’ve used along with Dr William Makis. They WORK.

    Hello,
I am thinking the FLCCC (now IMA Health) may not have stopped running the study, but rather that i may have to do with the rebranding from FLCCC into IMA Health and the ensuing re-organisation of the website.
I went to the new website and then did a search via the search icon (magnifying glass) at the top right of the web page –> there, I typed in “cancer study” and I got several hits:

–> General page informing of the launch of the study:
    https://imahealth.org/flccc-alliance-announces-its-first-groundbreaking-study-to-determine-efficacy-of-repurposed-drugs-in-treating-cancer/

–> Page with a little information no the study:
    https://imahealth.org/flccc-launches-observational-cancer-study-focused-on-repurposed-drugs/

–> I am looking for the video of the panel debate with Dr Marik, Dr Goodyear and Dr Ruddy, but I have not been able to find that.

–> And here is a shorter interview with Paul Mann, patient no 1, who has been helped for his stage 4 cancer with ivermectin:
    https://www.facebook.com/share/v/18CEPvqF1G/

–> And here is Dr Ruddy talking at the conference in connection with the launch of the study:

Hi all – apologies for the delay in responding, we asked our CEO Kelly Bumann so we could get this as correct as possible.

The Cancer Study is based on Dr. Paul Marik’s Cancer Care review, but will be managed outside IMA (formerly FLCCC) as an independent venture. Dr. Pierre Kory will be leading the coordination of the study.

The IMA does not, at this time, manage a list of recommended providers and clinics participating, and we recommend that providers or patients, if interested in enrolling in this study, please contact Tisha Palmer at [email protected] at the Leading Edge Clinic.

The IMA is active though in supporting the value of re-purposed drugs and studies that can provide science-based evidence to support their use. IMA is also focused on the educational resources, that with Dr. Marik’s leadership, continues to evolve the Cancer Care work and update with new therapies and solutions for providers to consider.

Hope this clarifies, and of course any questions, we’ll be happy to go find an answer or two.

That’s helpful, but won’t be to anyone outside this thread of the Forum. I think you really need a note to this effect on the cancer-care page, if you really want to help Pierre get participants and offer a service to people who are looking to IMA for cancer help.

This is really unfortunate, and I think that there should have been an announcement made about this since so many of us practitioners were encouraging people to participate. So if a patient was enrolled in the study through Dr Ruddy, is she now automatically a part of the study through Dr Kory? This patient is almost one year in, and she only was advised at her follow up that Dr Ruddy and FLCCC are no longer part of it. I’m beginning to wonder what’s really going on inside the organization – lack of transparency was why I separated myself from The Wellness Company, and Honest Medicine was why I chose the FLCCC.

This is very concerning. I recommended that a friend contact Dr. Ruddy after I attended the FLCCC conference in Dallas and heard Paul Mann’s story. Dr. Marik and Dr. Ruddy spoke about the Cancer Study using repurposed drugs at this conference. My friend contacted Dr. Ruddy and enrolled in the study. Her first telephone consult with Dr. Ruddy was on April 6, 2024. Last week she had a follow up call with Dr. Ruddy who advised her that the cancer study was no longer being supported by the FLCCC/IMA. She was not advised to contact Dr. Kory or any other physician. The cancer study consent form states “This research project will follow your care for a five year period, which will provide the researchers insight into the safety and effectiveness of adding these repurposed drugs to treatment regimens….” So, who will be following these enrollees for the five year period? The FLCCC/IMA needs to make a public announcement about this and specifically should contact any person currently enrolled in the study to advise them of what is being done on their behalf. Enrollees have paid to participate in this study, which was to provide them access to a cancer care specialist for two years and for their care/progress to be followed for a five year period. I look forward to the IMA’s response on this matter.

I agree… this is concerning. I signed up for the study with Dr. Ruddy and paid a significant fee to enroll, which I thought was somewhat suspect, but because I trust the work of the IMA (akaFLCCC) I agreed, and enrolled. That was last July or August. I have had not had any follow up calls since enrolling. Since I have no active disease at this time, my intentions are to remain disease free with the use of repurposed drugs and nutraceuticals. Due to my discomfort with this situation, I have signed on as a patient with the Leading Edge Clinic, and am in the process of on-boarding with them. They have far more support and are very organized. That said, as part of the onboarding process, I did sign agreement to be part of their observational study. There was no extra fee for that. The fee i am paying is to be a patient. The fee paid to Dr. Ruddy did not include patient care. I needed to speak with a separate physician, who was nice, but did not have the infrastructure of the Leading Edge Clinic. I think some clarification of this matter from the IMA would be helpful.

    All:

To clarify issues raised in this thread. Independent Medical Alliance (IMA, formerly FLCCC) continues to support the Cancer Care Treatment and Dr. Marik just updated an approach to Repurposed Drugs in the next couple of weeks — it can be found on our Cancer Care Page.

As posted above, the Cancer Study, is now independent of the Cancer Care and Treatment guides, and is still proceeding but under Dr. Kory’s leadership. This is an observational study to collect data on the results of treatment as monitored by the either Dr. Kory or other clinicians involved in the trial. The trial is set to collect data to build upon to publish findings as it applies to different therapies and their impact on the range of cancers being treated. Patients in this trial pay for thrown treatment and medications.

The selection of a provider in this trial should be the result of evaluating the participating clinics and seeing which is the best fit for the patient’s circumstances. We have provided the link to Dr. Kory’s Cancer Study page, here it is again for reference: https://drpierrekory.com/adjunctive-cancer-care

We have responded to all questions we receive outside this forum into our support line as well.

We are working to help provide links to providers that are actively providing alternative and adjunctive care, based on Dr. Marik’s Cancer Care guide.

We agree that getting case reviews and published studies on the treatments is important to help build awareness of the alternatives to cancer treatment. Any providers on this forum, that are basing their complementary treatment off Dr. Marik’s protocol, we would value developing a case review and submitting it to our Journal of Independent Medicine at: https://journalofindependentmedicine.org/

    Hope this helps address questions.

    Kelly Bumann

    Executive Director, IMA
