Dr. Brooke Miller’s latest Substack takes a deep dive into autophagy, the body’s cellular clean-up and recycling system, and its impact on overall health.

One of the areas he looked at, was the impact on our brain.

Dr. Millar explores emerging research around autophagy, neuroinflammation, stress, mood, cognitive clarity and the gut-brain connection.

If I take myself as an example, we generally eat a pretty clean diet and do a daily 16-hour fast. When we go away and relax that routine for a few days, I notice the difference quite quickly. I feel much more lethargic, and the areas of my back and neck where I have longstanding issues start to feel sore again.

Have you noticed a difference mood or mental clarity when you change your fasting or eating routine?
