  For years, many people have been told that inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, is mainly genetic or autoimmune. But what if that picture is incomplete?

  This week’s IMA webinar with gut specialist Josh Dech (hosted by Dr. Saleeby) looking at possible hidden drivers of IBD, including the microbiome, environmental factors, and other triggers that may be shaping gut inflammation. That raises a big question: if IBD is influenced more by environment and gut ecology than we’ve been led to believe, what should patients and clinicians be paying closer attention to?
