Are pharmacists be financially rewarded for recommending vaccines?

  • Are pharmacists be financially rewarded for recommending vaccines?

Today, both Dr. Talley Bowden and Dr. Mollie James shared comments that CVS Pharmacy offers financial incentives to staff who are “certified immunizers” for administering vaccines.

Whether you support vaccination or not, this raises an important question:

Should healthcare recommendations ever be influenced by financial incentives?

Typo in your title; “…being finacially rewarded..”, not “be financially rewarded…”.

    In a word: NO!

In other words: Disgraceful. Unethical. Reprehensible. Repugnant. Contemptible.

It seems healthcare recommendations are nearly always influenced by financial incentives.
