Virginia Recommends MMR Vaccine for Infants as Young as 6 Months
Virginia’s Department of Health is recommending infants ages 6 to 11 months receive a MMR vaccine, as well as compressing the dosage, this is earlier than the age recommended by the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Because, they say, of a measles outbreak.
Senior Fellow, Dr. Elizabeth Mumper, a pediatrician, noted that “more than 60 potential side effects” are listed in the package insert for Merck’s MMR vaccine, the only MMR shot licensed in the U.S.
A really important story to follow and unpack.
