    📊 I have heard…

Around 40% of women show signs of hair loss by age 50 and less than 45% of women reach age 80 with a full head of hair.

So we’ve developed a Women’s Hair Loss Guide because several members asked for it after we created the men’s version. The guide explores why hair thinning and shedding happen in women, what they can signal about internal health, and how to support regrowth from a whole-body perspective.

Has hair thinning affected you, and has anything helped you?

I have always had a good head of hair (neither thick nor thin but plenty of it!) but as I approached menopause age I remember one hairdresser saying that I would start to lose my hair and to be prepared. I started taking a marine collagen supplement from a company whose supplements I was already using and my hair, nails and eyelashes have never been healthier (thicker, stronger, grow faster). I am now 67 years young, long past menopause and my hairdresser marvels every time she cuts my hair at how plentiful it is! I do take quite a few supplements, eat healthfully, etc. but am also blessed with good genes from my Dad! My Mum has always had a thinner head of hair but at 89 years young she still has a good covering and is far from bald. Dad, at 91 also has a great head of hair!

I have a full head of hair at age 76. Took hormone replacement for probably 10 years after a hysterectomy. Any correlation? I’ve been on Thyroid medications for a long time, and presently see a functional health doctor who checks my levels frequently. Been told Thyroid makes a huge difference. Had a craniotomy after a cycling accident 7 yrs ago, and my hair grew back with more curl. Just some thoughts.
