I believe trust forms rapidly and strongly when a really suffering patient is given a through work up and prescribed a medicine or treatment that quickly heals the patient – this is probably rare; but when it happens, the effect on trust is powerful!

Thanks @AaronAF I suppose my question was rather simplistic, thinking about it, it depends on the situation we are in when talking to a doctor … I know the best doctors I have ever had were those that valued my input … I am lucky as I very seldom have to see doctors though.
