Potent antibiotics like amoxicillin work great against bacterial infections. Ivermectin should help as welll. Unfortunately, amoxicillin also wipes out the microbiome in the gut. There are no restrictions in taking a probiotic once the course of amoxicillin is complete. I’d also get a lab assay of serum 25(OH)D3. Our innate and adaptive immune systems run on vitamin D3. I shoot for anything between 80 ng/mL and 150 ng/mL.
Most people who do not take vitamin D3 have an average 25(OH)D3 serum concentration around 20 ng/mL and sometimes much less. If that’s the case, a loading dose of 600,000 IU of vitamin D3 taken at 100,000 IU/day for six (6) days followed by a maintenance dose of at least 10,000 IU/day or 125 IU/Kg body weight/day.
