  • Should the COVID EUAs Finally Be Revoked?

It’s been over five years since the COVID-19 Emergency Use Authorizations (EUAs) were enacted under the PREP Act. The original emergency is long over—Biden’s administration declared it officially ended in May 2023. Yet somehow, thanks to a quiet extension by HHS Secretary Becerra in March 2023, hundreds of EUA products are still authorized under the guise of a public health threat that no longer exists.

    This includes:

All mRNA vaccines for children under 12 (none are fully FDA approved)

    – Remdesivir for children

    – Multiple diagnostic tools and PPE

    – Even the Novavax vaccine, still EUA-only

The PREP Act was supposed to be temporary emergency policy—not a permanent legal loophole.

My question for the forum: Should the incoming administration immediately revoke all COVID-related EUAs and terminate the PREP Act emergency provisions once and for all?

Please reply with a short “yes” or “no,” and a sentence why. Let’s keep the thread active and focused!

Bad science, bad medicine, and bad government. It should have never been enacted in the first place.

Agree, and I wonder if they are retaining it to be used again?
