“Some readers may conclude that this debate is ultimately about brain death. I am no longer convinced that it is. I believe it is about something much larger. It is about whether medicine still remembers that every diagnosis belongs to a human being, every prognosis belongs to a family, and every act of healing begins with listening.” Dr. Joseph Varon.

This is another great article from our Dr. Varon. I’m so wary of the profits in organ harvesting, where everyone seems to be profiting hugely from brain death, which the family sees nothing of, that I’m a bit blind to the otherside of transplants being an irreplaceble godsend. Have a read. And how do you feel about this? How would you help rebuild the trust?
