Red/NIR Light Therapy Experience Worth Sharing
For a little over 2 yrs I used a handheld red/NIR light bulb just to see if it was something I wanted to do long term. I decided it was, so began researching panels. A full-body panel was high on my list. After reviewing & comparing several companies, I chose RLT Home (RLThome.com). They not only have extensive info about their technology and products, the customer service reps actually speak with you…no AI chat session, or email back & forth…a HUGE plus imo.
AJ and Max are some of the most outstanding customer support reps I’ve ever encountered. They always respond in a timely manner, and never once have they failed to answer my questions. Even with a cosmetic issue on the first unit I received, they were right there the whole time making sure I received a replacement pronto. RLT Home is THE shining example of how a company should conduct business!
I received my Total Spectrum ULTRA in Feb’26. Awesome product! I’m blown away by the hi-tech features that work flawlessly. I use it mainly for skincare & anti-aging with wonderful results. The Pain & Inflammation mode is certainly not to be left out. Let me explain…
On 4/8/26 I was about to run a full day of errands when I happened to roll my ankle while wearing slip on shoes with a 2 1/2″ chunky heel. At the time of the incident it hurt, but it wasn’t long before I was over it and out the door. Didn’t even change my shoes. Last errand was grocery shopping. My ankle and/or leg didn’t hurt at all the entire time I was out and about. Got home 7 hours later, changed into comfortable clothes and a pair of well-worn Birkenstock-type thong sandals. About an hour later my ankle began hurting. My pain tolerance is rather high, so I didn’t think much of it other than I knew I hadn’t injured my ankle or foot again. As the time ticked away the pain intensified. By 10:30pm I was having muscle spasms up the calf and hamstring and could feel discomfort in my hip area. Needless to say I was quite perplexed over what was going on. I had been out all day long, in heels, walking everywhere…and I don’t walk slow, by the way. I decided I should call it a day…which is not the norm for me whatsoever…and soak in a hot bath. The pain was so bad I almost drove myself to the emergency room to get an x-ray, wondering if I had in fact fractured a bone (which didn’t really make sense to me because I had zero pain while out running errands in heels) because I couldn’t put any weight on that foot. I’m telling you it was excruciating. I finished my hot bath, hobbled to my bed, and decided to do a Pain & Inflammation RLT session on that ankle and leg. The heat from the session felt good, but still had pain once completed. I rubbed it with BioFreeze, put on a soft wool sock, set an electric heating pad under my ankle, propped it up on a small pillow…and it still hurt like crazy with the intense muscle spasms continuing. Even the bed covers touching my ankle/foot hurt. Seriously, the pain was taking my breath away. I was within an inch of going to the ER at this point. After trying many different times to find a bearable position I was finally able to fall asleep. I slept like a baby. Woke up next morning and I am not lying when I say the pain was reduced to a 2…if that much, from a 10+ pain level. I was able to get up and walk on my foot…no hobbling, and no more muscle spasms. I decided to do another Pain Mode session before getting dressed for the day. Finished the session, got dressed, slipped on sneakers, and headed out the door. As the day wore on the little bit of discomfort actually got better. That night I did another session after my bath. No problem with pain, fell asleep and slept soundly till morning. Woke up, and for good measure, I did another Pain Mode session, got dressed, wearing sneakers again, and had another full day of running errands. The only reason I knew I had an injury was the slightest bit of a catch when turning my ankle outward as far as I could, and even then the discomfort was minimal.
Note: I’m a praying woman, so I did pray for relief 🙂 However, I do believe without a doubt the RLT Home Ultra sessions contributed immensely to my unbelievably quick recovery. I give much thanks to God for leading me to RLT Home, and making it possible to purchase the Ultra unit. I am 150% pleased with it, as well as with the customer service team!
For the record, as of today, 6/16/26, I have had zero pain in that ankle/foot/leg without doing more Pain Mode sessions.
In case anyone is interested…the RLT Home Ultra unit panel can be operated via voice commands and has an electronic stand w/a remote control for an impressive & futuristic spa experience. The panel can be used in horizontal & vertical positions. They also offer smaller & larger panels all at excellent price points.
Photos below show the unit pre & post spa room setup. Complete with my girl kitty getting her treatment 🙂 I wanted to show how it works, but don’t see option for video upload.
