I stopped taking statins about 10 years ago when an ayurvedic doctor recommended the following to reduce cholesterol.

    1. Soak 6 to 8 raw almonds in 6 to 8 ounces of water over night.

    2. Soak 1 tablespoon of Coriander seeds in 6 to 8 ounces of water over night.

    3. Get 6 to 8 fresh green leaves of Holy Basil or Mint.

On an empty stomach, first thing in the morning, eat the leaves, drink the water and eat the coriander seeds, drink the water and eat the almonds. You want green leaves that are rich in chlorophyll. Soaking the seeds and almonds softens the outer shell, allowing your system to fully digest the beneficial elements that help to reduce LDLs.

The leaves taste better when sprinkled with a little Tumeric and a drab of honey. Leaves, seeds, nuts first thing and wait 15 to 30 minutes before eating anything else.

This daily routine keeps my LDLs in line.
