Do you still love practicing medicine—but wish you had more time to listen, investigate, and understand why your patients are not well?
FoundationMED, an established functional medicine practice in Raleigh, NC, is seeking an MD or DO to join our team.
For more than 13 years, we have cared for patients using a personalized, root-cause approach to complex and chronic health concerns. Our practice is designed to give physicians something increasingly difficult to find in conventional medicine: time to think, clinical autonomy, and meaningful long-term relationships with patients.
What Makes This Opportunity Different

Entirely fee-for-service — no insurance or Medicare

Longer appointments and a low-volume patient schedule

Approximately 3–5 patients per day

Physician develops and manages their own patient census

Established practice with an experienced clinical and administrative team

Training in the FoundationMED functional medicine model

Opportunity to begin part-time and grow into a larger role

Potential future partnership opportunity for the right physician
Previous functional or integrative medicine experience is welcomed but not required.
We are particularly interested in physicians with backgrounds in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Preventive Medicine who are clinically curious, thoughtful, compassionate, and interested in practicing medicine at a deeper level.
An active North Carolina medical license is required.
This may be an especially compelling opportunity for a physician who still loves medicine but no longer loves the way conventional medicine often requires it to be practiced.
