In most cases I think it would be great to use telemedicine docs. However, I believe that with the apparent safety and efficacy of IVM, that it is available OTC in Mexico and India, I can determine its need and use on my own.

What I cannot determine is any drugs purity, safety re: contaminants, and absolute efficacy. I have concluded that there needs to be a 3rd party(like UL or CS, consumer reports, BBB) that vouches for these safety related characteristics for both the source company and the particular drug being sold itself. This would mean some sort of annual (at least) testing of their product and blacklisting any that turn fraudulent.

This is not likely in the offing, so it is still the “wild West” out there now.

I will likely by from a real pharmacy with a front door in the US or Mexico until I can find this.

I would like to see the same thing for products from Pfizer, Moderna, J&J, Bayer, etc. Look how well that has turned out. Wait isn’t that what the FDA is supposed to do for the people of the US? Take Warfarin for example. It is supposed to work to thin blood, ie anticoagulant [vitamin k antagonist]. The NNT rating concludes that it really only helps a small percentage of the users. Safe and effective, questionable. But the medical profession and big pharma keep it going. So even if the product has the amount and quality of the active and inactive ingredients as described in the product formulary, doesn’t mean that it is any good for the body. Just a different perspective.

I would caution people to use common sense whenever they are evaluating where to procure their medication. First keep in mind that IndiaMart is a marketplace, similar to ebay, Amazon, craigslist, FaceBook, and many others. IndiaMart does not sell any products on its own. It provides a list of sellers who are all vying for your business. A rating on Trustpilot has nothing to do with the pharmaceutical vendors who sell on IndiaMart. Second, like any other group of related businesses, there will always be some vendors who are shady and trying to give less than honest service to their customers. But just like ebay and Amazon, IndiaMart has standards that vendors must comply with in order to remain on their platform. So if you aren’t afraid to shop on Amazon, you probably shouldn’t be afraid to shop on IndiaMart. Third, lab testing showing “some” products not as advertised should be taken with a grain of salt. Specifically which products and which companies are involved in this practice. It is easy to paint a whole marketplace with the same brush without singling out particular offenders. Such vendors risk being removed from the marketplace, so I doubt that this is an issue for the vast majority of vendors. Lastly, although I try to buy products made in the US to help support our economy, when US prices are dollars per pill versus India prices at pennies per pill for the same quality of product, the decision is pretty easy. Why would it be that consulting with a physician to find reliable sources in the US would provide any better products than that which is being offered in India. In India the product is so cheap and OTC so what incentive is there for vendors/manufacturers to try to cheat their customers with something other than the correct product. Reputation tends to weed out the scammers. I haven’t found any physicians who are willing to provide free consultations for getting IVM. I’ll stick with continuing to get my IVM from India from the vendors who have provided reliable products and service over the past few years. There are many suppliers to chose from and a wide variety of price points to satisfy everyone who might be concerned about quality.

Online cost of these pills are thoroughly exploitative. So, I purchased IVM and Fenben at US$1.30 per strip of 10 pills from India Mart. They sell in a box of 10, which cost $13. Shipping would be similar or cheaper. My 200 pills (2 boxes) cost me less than $40. Like some of the replies here, I have also been buying from different sources on India Mart for the past 1 year. There are manufacturers, wholesalers, pharmacies and dropshippers on the web site whoa re very eager to please (huge, huge competition). You can study their profiles and their experiences and ask them about shipping to various countries and identify those who are able to circumvent customs and import procedures because of their courier’s standing agreement with country’s customs. You can choose whoever you want to buy from, noting that the same few brands are sold buy hundreds (maybe thousands) of sellers. You can also ask from manufacturers (if you are buying direct from them) their product analysis. Some wholesalers will give you their product sheet, so ask from them. One may wish to note that IVM and Fenben are produced not only in India but also in China. The products are so cheap that there is really no point in counterfeiting. Merck itself said sometime back (before COVID) that they will continue to supply IVM at the cheapest price possible because of its massive global value in treating many diseases. How? Just google India Mart. NOte: if you happened to buy from an inexperienced seller and your parcel gets lost or confiscated, just sharper up your selection and order again. The IVM brand that I buy is being used daily for more than 6 months. It is Iverheal. I recently also started buying Panacur by Merck, which costs me a bomb online. I just attempted to buy ivm from indiamart, the sellers were very kind and helpful. I wanted to use my credit card so was advised to use wise.com. Going thru the process, I stopped as wise.com wanted every piece of confidential information, birthdate, ssn, drivers license, picture…it didn’t stop. The price was excellent, 22cents/12mg tablet. The other indian outlet was no better requesting my bank acct numbers. Why is ivm so expensive on this side of the pond?

I use WISE. Eventually, they will stop asking you for everything when they see more and more of what your transaction constitutes. If you buy a lot of stuff overseas, it can save you significant amount because the typical bank transfer fee and exchange rate can add up quite a lot. I had my initial 3 months of frustration with WISE but now I wouldn’t use any other card. It’s worth the trouble.

Hi and many thanks for your reply. I appreciate the reassurance about the quality. I can now confirm that the Iverheal was delivered a few days ago. The packaging of the Iverheal tablets seemed legitimate and there was nothing suspect. Fortunately the parcel went straight through customs to my door.

I have since taken 9 of the tablets over 4 days and have experienced no noticeable side affects. I hope they are working but maybe it is too early to tell. It is a shame that such a cheap drug sells at a high premium – even worse still that citizens in the UK are prevented from buying it in their own country by their government. However, I am pleased to have found an avenue for sourcing Ivermectin, so thank you.
