Ivermectin for Prophylaxis
Posted by aaronaf0.041867017746 seconds
on April 24, 2025 at 4:17 pm EDTSome ivermectin providers (for example, MFD) are discouraging their clients (patients) from continuing their requests for prescriptions for prophylaxis. Instead they are encouraging clients to opt only for “on-hand” amounts, for use only if a COVID infection happens to occur.
What do the doctors at IMA recommend that patients do in response? For example, would folks be wise to continue with their long-time custom of one-dose IVM per week – or not? My thinking is, since IVM has such a strong safety profile, it would still be safe to continue with prophylaxis dosing, and that would be a reasonable preference, especially for certain age groups (like the elderly)?
What do you advise?

When you need the medicine, it is what it is.
I am watching the Idaho Ivermectin over-the-counter sales closely. Just the law permit it may or may not cause pharmacies from selling it. We do need more availability.

I have been using Ivermectin as part of a spike protein detox regimen since June, 2024. The dosage that I am on is .4 mg per kg of body weight. In my case that is 200 pounds (90 kilograms) X .4 mg/kg = 36 mg per day ( 3 12mg tablets). When I first started I was paying $120/month for Ivermectin from American pharmacies. I then began to get Ivermectin through indiamart.com and paid anywhere from $70-$105 per 1000 12mg tablets with half of the price being shipping. If you do the math that is almost a 1 year supply for me at a cost o $.07 per pill, or $.21 per day, or $6.30 per month. Ivermectin is a generic drug produced from a microorganism from Japanese soil. It has been used on animals since 1981 and humans since 1987.
The Journal of Antibiotics (2017) 70, 495–505
& 2017 Japan Antibiotics Research Association All rights reserved 0021-8820/17 states:
“The drug’s potential in human health was confirmed a few years later and
it was registered in 1987 and immediately provided free of charge
(branded as Mectizan)—‘as much as needed for as long as needed’—with the
goal of helping to control Onchocerciasis (also known as River
Blindness) among poverty-stricken populations “doing an AI search on “Is Ivermectin Patented?” returned the following:
No, ivermectin is no longer under patent. The drug was originally patented in 1981, but the patent expired in 1996. In some countries, the patent was renewed for different periods, but it is now widely available as a generic drug
Additionally,
ivermectin’s widespread use as a generic medication has led to its
affordability and accessibility in many regions. However, some
pharmaceutical companies have developed patented alternatives or
formulations to compete with the generic version. When you buy Ivermectin in the US you are buying patented alternatives. Be aware that when you work with indiamart.com you will be deluged with offers. Choosing one and getting rid of the others is a real issue. Secondly, be aware that money exchange services, such as Paypal, etc. will try to stop you by asking what you are purchasing and who you are purchasing from. Your answers should be that you are purchasing goods from a friend of from a business selling goods.
On a further note, it is my belief it is now almost impossible to avoid being spike protein infected due to the vaccinated shedding onto us un-vaccinated. This is my reason for working on a detox regimen with Ivermectin as one of the primary ingredients.

I have this question as well, since I am trying to prevent cancer recurrence as well as dealing with stealth infections from an inborn immune deficiency.
It would be great of someone could say what the actual risks are of low dose Ivemectim use, and what people could watch out for. All I’ve ever heard about that is the false fearmongering during early Covid days. If your liver enzymes are good, is that enough to check?-
I agree. Being on an immune suppressor for rheumatoid arthritis, I’m concerned about respiratory viral infections, most of which IVM has shown effectiveness against. IMA doesn’t recommend prophylaxis for people in low-COVID risk areas, but it would be good to see advice for immunocompromised people. For that matter, are IVM’s mechanisms of action adversely affected by various forms of immunosuppression?

I take IVM 12 mg three times a week based on a protocol from Dr. William Makis. This is to prevent a breast cancer recurrence. I have been taking IVM for 4 yrs now since the ‘pandemic”. I have never gotten the COVID shot nor have I had COVID infection. I personally think to take a dose every six month or so is a waste of medicine and likely gives the person a false sense of security. I don’t know of any medication that is effective taken that infrequently. The half life of IVM is 12-36 hrs. I also follow the recommendations made by Drs. Marik and Justus Hope. I have zero side effects. My liver enzymes are perfect.

From what I have read, IVM is one of the safest drugs that exist. I take 12 mg per week as a prophylactic. I had 2 Pizer mRNA shots with no side effects, so far.

… imo BASIC PREVENTION with early treatment backup can stop pandemics within a willing, informed population – boiled water, salt, baking soda, povidone-iodine solution 10%, Johnson’s regular baby shampoo, xylitol, etc. nasal spray bottles and a NeilMed 8 oz nasal flush bottle, a nebuizer, eyeglasses – best with some side shielding, 3M N95’s.
Before entry into infectious “shared air” – home mixed antiviral sprays. First 12% xylitol in plain filtered boiled water sprayed into nose and mouth to saturation and need to blow your nose, them 0.5% povidone-iodine in normal alkalized saline – a few sprays into nose and mouth, inhaling deeply, and a few sprays on to open eyes from a distance, then eyeglasses and N95. When back home – depending on perceived level of exposure – 1% regular Johnson’s baby shampoo in a normal concentration alkalized saline for an antiviral eye wash, mouth wash and nasal flush, then nebulize a few mL of regular vodka and a few more home mixed antiviral sprays – again depending on perceived level of exposure to infectious “shared air”.
note: NeilMed alkalized saline premixed saline mix packets are
aproxmately 75% salt and 25% baking soda and heat changes baking soda –
NeilMed recomends to first boil water to sterilize it then l let it cool
down before adding the contents of their saline mix packet. remember to wash hands and face with soap and water -
Won’t organic spike protein clear without a carrier? (such as IVM) My understanding is that synthetic spike protein is what triplicates to congest our cells. How does IVM recognize both? The structures must be identical. Was that one of the first red flags?
I contracted scabies a few weeks ago and was very glad that I had IVM handy. My prescription was already written for my weight. The internet is fairly accurate at dosing.

… imo BASIC PREVENTION with early treatment backup can stop pandemics within a willing, informed population – boiled water, salt, baking soda, povidone-iodine solution 10%, Johnson’s regular baby shampoo, xylitol, etc. nasal spray bottles such as Snout brand and a NeilMed 8 oz nasal flush bottle, a nebuizer such as 100% duty cycle Philips Respironics InnoSpire Elegance compressor nebulizer system, eyeglasses (best with some side shielding), 3M N95’s.
Before entry into infectious “shared air” – home mixed antiviral sprays. First 12% xylitol in plain filtered boiled water sprayed into nose and mouth to saturation and need to blow your nose, them 0.5% povidone-iodine in normal alkalized saline – a few sprays into each nostril and mouth, inhaling deeply, and a spray or two on to open eyes from a distance aiming at bridge of nose, then eyeglasses and N95. When back home – depending on perceived level of exposure – 1% regular Johnson’s baby shampoo in a normal concentration alkalized saline for an antiviral eye wash, mouth wash and nasal flush, then nebulize a few mL of regular vodka and a few more home mixed antiviral sprays – again depending on perceived level of exposure to infectious “shared air”.
note: NeilMed alkalized saline premixed saline mix packets are approximately 75% salt and 25% baking soda and measure about 1/2 tsp each which is added to 8 fluid ounces of water to make their “normal” concentration saline – 2 packets for hypertonic saline – heat changes baking soda – NeilMed recommends to first boil water to sterilize it then l let it cool down before adding the contents of their saline mix packet. I approximate with 1/4 tsp baking soda and 3 each 1/4 teaspoons of salt added to 16 ounces of boiled water – remember to wash hands and face with soap and water

Who is MFD. We use our pharmacy’s Telehealth group and they prescribe both as a preventative and treatment. I think the Idaho and Arkansas laws are interesting, but will others follow suit.

‘Organic’ spike protein is still a bioengineered product. That being said from all I have read it does not present the same levels of harm that the the one delivered with modified RNA.
