Iodine supplementation

Hello fellow optimal health seekers! I recently listened to a podcast with Dr John Campbell (UK based educator) who was interviewing a highly respected research physician (Professor Angus Dalgleish) and they mentioned iodine supplementation using Lugol’s iodine. But they didn’t mention a safe dose for the average person to take. I’d like to start using it and have a product (Bioceuticals Iodine Forte) which contains 376 micrograms of potassium iodide equivalent to iodine 288 micrograms and potassium 88 micrograms per spray. As I cannot ask my primary care physician (they have no knowledge of anything nutritionally supplementary sadly) and I cannot find anything on the internet, I am hoping someone out there uses it and can let me know.

I assume that potassium iodide is water soluble and therefore will not accumulate but I don’t want to overdose!

    Thank you

    Robin
