Important Update: Email Notification Delays and Take Control of Your Notifications
We want to make you aware of an issue affecting email notifications and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
What Happened
Our email system recently experienced an unexpected limitation that significantly reduced how many emails we can send per hour. While we previously sent millions of emails without issue, we were suddenly restricted to starting over with much lower sending limits. We’ve been gradually increasing our capacity (currently at about 1,000 emails per hour and growing daily), but this has created a substantial backlog.
What This Means for You
Due to this backlog of approximately 150,000 queued emails, you may experience:
- Delayed notifications – You might receive alerts for forum posts or activities that happened up to 2 weeks ago
- Emails after unsubscribing – If you recently unsubscribed, you may still receive some emails that were already queued in our system before you made that change
- Duplicate or outdated alerts – Some notifications may no longer be relevant by the time they arrive
We expect to clear this backlog over the next week as our sending capacity continues to increase.
