Imagine if Hospital Did This!
A friend and I were talking about hospitals the other day as her partner had to go in for an operation. We both agree that we would do everything to avoid being hospitalized right now, with surgery being the exception.
But, just imagine that you could fix them, with doctors practicing ‘Honest Medicine’ treating the cause and not medicating the symptoms.
What simple things could they do to improve the health and wellbeing of patients?
Two easy to implement and wonderful ideas I read about this week were:
1. A hospital in Boston (USA) has a rooftop garden, and they are using good food as medicine.
2. Historically, hospitals always had sun terraces, and I see some of the hospital developers in the UK are talking about having these or intensive care patients.
What would you add to improve care?
