Fentanyl during surgery
Despite there is no study about long time effects here in Europe, today, micro dose fentanyl is a standard to protect from surgery pains. This is highly problematic as now the differentiation between drug types is vanishing again.
What is your experience – long time drug effects? We know from Kokain that addiction is unpredictable. It can happen after the first time or never just the damage is universal.

Thanks for the question @wyttenbach I understand that some of the research does show that a minority of patients continue using opioids long after surgery, but it seems the risk is higher in people who already had opioid exposure before the procedure.

Just for your info, the IMA has a research piece about chronic pain and opioid use disorder, including integrative approaches and herbal medicine research proposals.
Lets see if someone has first hand experience or other research to share.
