An outstanding example of the state of “journalism” in America. This was not an interview, it was a confrontation. The CNN host had an agenda that she knew was diametrically opposed to Kennedy’s, and was not going to allow him to express his. Not allowing your invited guest to speak is not what you’d call a good interview style, and typifies to what CNN has degenerated. Legacy media cannot fail fast enough, as far as I am concerned.

I agree, but it amazes me that they managed to keep limping along.

Although I have already seen it on the FOX News channel and heard it on radio, I was hoping to see it up close here. The link does not work for me. If not due to a glitch of this forum, it might be my computer’s or FireFox browser’s fault.

I watched this.
CNN is not a listener.
Truth not a point central to CNN.
Kennedy held ground, and hallelujah for that. He is an honest player- not a manipulator.
Objectivity is what I seek, when we (our company) problem solve, for example, a home is settling structurally. We explore real causes, pay attention to short term versus long term fix. Pay attention to all input parameters – forensic details- on problem solving, cost included.
Again, HHS Kennedy knows truth, and lived it, and with that- proper motive & direction. He is a strong advocate for We The People. It was like CNN was digging dirt and throwing that in HHS Kennedy’s face – no respect, zilch on critical thinking. Bully CNN is.
I am glad this CNN interviewer is not a scientist designing a rocket ship – the poor ship would end up on Pluto instead of the moon.
No wonder Dr Mary Bowden, Dr Paul Marik, Dr Ryan Cole & others get sued – the wrong folks are in charge of the government checkbooks.

I watched it on YouTube. It was another disgusting display of CNN trying to embarrass another Trump administration official. If you are going to invite a guest on your program to provide information then it is incumbent upon you to let the person speak. This wasn’t happening. It was a confrontation with a diatribe of the host’s personal feelings. I don’t know why RFKJ even bothered to accept the invitation. It was a waste of his valuable time.

I agree, @vegandan. I’ve seen these “gotcha” tactics used many times, especially by female journalists interviewing men in positions of power. I wonder whether the aim is to put the interviewee on the back foot, knowing that any forceful response may then be portrayed as misogynistic

Interesting take @IMA-HelenT . I hadn’t thought of that perspective but it wouldn’t surprise me. Who knows what really motivates people to do things.

I think RFK Jr stood up for himself very well (“You are just a parrot with no personal knowledge of the issues”), but not without appearing nearly apoplectic at times!
