🧠 Dementia: It’s Time to Act

A close friend recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to move his wife, who is only 60, into a care home because of early-onset dementia.

I remember us first noticing little changes in her about six years ago. At the time, I don’t think any of us could have imagined how things would progress.

Over the years, her condition became worse, to the point where she no longer recognised her own husband and needed someone watching over her 24 hours a day.

I can’t begin to imagine how painful that must be for him. To have the person you’ve shared your life with still there physically, but no longer recognise you, is just devastating.

Dr. Gazda says that in the 1950s, heart disease was the leading cause of death in the United States. Then came decades of public health campaigns urging people to quit smoking, control their blood pressure, and watch their weight and diet. IMA Senior Fellow in Brain Health Dr. Suzanne Gazda says brain health needs that same effort now, worldwide.

You did not dwell on the fact that the patient is post-menopausal and apparently not taking menopausal hormone replacement therapy. That will likely improve her condition immeasurably–IF she tries it. Estradiol would be the most important, and this woudl be accompanied by progesterone is she has a uterus (to prevent ovarian problems), Testosterone will help tremendously also.

People often have opinions about hormone replacement therapy. However, the fact is that the women who take this replacement treatment postpone their likely cardiac death by ten years on average. *Most Americans will die of heart attacks when they die.) The fake opprobrium about the “dangers” of hormone replacement therapy were cancelled last year when the FDA and big professional agencies announced that it has now become therapeutic to treat menopause with hormone replacement–after 25 years of deceiving the public on this subject.

Dementia did not become a “thing” until after the establishment narrative about controlling cholesterol (because pharma invented drugs to reduce cholesterol). Cholesterol is necessary for brain health, however, and so the “no butter, no eggs” narrative has shown to be in error after having harmed untold millions. The original system from the source of Mother Nature really does know what’s best. Natural foods and natural medicines promote life. Corporate moneymaking narratives are suspect and to be avoided. The folks that run this assisted living facility have found some therapies that result in massive changes in their patients.

    Here’s their Facebook page:

Here’s a link to the guy who runs the place:

Start with the Twitter link. He’s got some fabulous posts about what they do, how they do it, and what they’ve learned.

I almost want to make reservation for 20 years from now…
