Personally I’m not a big fan of the revised food pyramid. It is obvious that the meat and dairy industries had a big influence in the revision. Too much emphasis on the Whole Foods part and not enough of the Plant Based part. I’m a big supporter of the small farmer and would like to see that segment grow. Not so much interested in the ranching industry thriving. Dead animals are not my thing.

@vegandan thanks for your note. Was thinking about how you’d see this change. Your position completely understandable. We have a local organic vegetable farmer who we support as often as we can, and would love to see him grow his business.
