    Thank you.

Thank you adesimba for your suggestion.

Unfortunately the Midwestern Doctor does not provide info on where to obtain the DMSO that is pharmaceutical grade, sterile and pH suitable for ophthalmic use.

      Best.

I get mine from DMSO store. 20% DMSO + Vit C eye drops. FYI, it requires an account to make a purchase:

ais0219, thank you very much, I have been looking for a pharmaceutical source of DMSO for a long time!

I am assuming that their DMSO is pharmaceutical grade controlled for pH and sterility.

Have you had positive experience with the DMSO store regarding the quality and ethics of their products? Did you try the eye solution you recommended (DMSO+VitC)? Or do you know someone who tried it?

Like you warned, they only answer questions pertaining to a purchase, this gives me an uneasy feeling.

          Thank you!

I used to shop at Elliott’s health foods in Sacramento when Mr. and Mrs. Elliott were still alive. Mrs. Elliott had told me that she recommended a high antioxidant supplement program for a customer who had cataracts. She said it cleared up over the next few months. I can’t guarantee it, but it certainly won’t hurt you to take a high dose and accident program such as vitamin C, vitamin E, and a wide variety of potent antioxidants. In the long run it will only improve your health anyhow. Good luck

Thank you tracemins, I can certainly increase my antioxidant intake. I understand that oxidative burden is a factor in developing cataracts.

      Thank you, again

Castor oil in the eyes right before bed is a wonderful treatment, and gentle.

Yes, castor oil is definitely an old faithful! I heard of others using it, thank you, valtheherbalist, for the reminder.

Hi, I’ve been in the ophthalmic industry since 1996. There is nothing that can naturally reverse the clouding and hardening of the human crystalline lens (aka cataracts) Surgery with lens replacement is the only option. It is one of the most refined procedures in the world. Personally, I would have no reservations having the procedure done. Just pick a good surgeon, and good implant.

There are medications in trial, but you are talking years, and who knows what the side effects will be if it is even successful.

    Happy to answer any question.

Thank you, steve-k, that is the standard medical approach, surgery!

The problem here is to try to locate an experienced ophthalmologist to minimize the complications of dry eye, droopy eyelids, and the forever menace of scar tissue formation!

Thank you again for your help!

Sophos, there have been very good recommendations here, including a very common surgical option – which I would also do. Just FYI, I give exosome (stem cell signalers) via nebulizer which crosses the blood brain barrier, great for TBI, neuro degenerative issues, cognitive issues, anything ENT. Probably not going to resolve that thickened corneal development though.

Remedies to consider include using hexane free castor oil. Glass bottle. Must be applied from 2 to 6 months at night on the eyelid.

I understand what I said was mainstream medical. I’m always open minded and after suffering from vaccine injury look at things very differently, but I am not aware of anything (even anecdotally) that can help once you develop cataracts.

Not sure where you are located, but in the U.S., surgeons most often perform surgery with a 2.2-2.75 mm incision with topical anesthetic and light sedation.

Risk of developing droopy lids would only occur if you elect or require some form of block and the physician misses the mark…which is exceedingly rare. Modern cataract surgery is one of the most refined procedures in the world.

I’m just sharing info, no agenda, just trying to help. If cataracts impact your vision, the downside of tripping…having an accident etc are far more common than an adverse event. Best of luck, if I can help, send me a message.

Sorry forgot to add. Dry eye and scar tissue formation were common with the large incision procedures of the past. Pre 90’s as the procedure was very different. Prevalence has decreased dramatically…it’s not zero as complications can happen. A good surgeon can put the odds even more in your favor. If you are in an area I am familiar with, I may know of good surgeons.

If you have questions, or if I can help, let me know.

Trauma, Blue light, UV, and screen time exposure can increase risk of and or accelerate cataract development, so avoiding/minimizing may slow progression.

The Midwestern Doctor has a series of articles on DMSO and many of them state where you buy and how to dose.

FWIW, here’s an article from Steve Kirsch warning against the use of DMSO directly in the eye:

I have no medical knowledge related this type of use of case (Steve’s issue is not cataracts), so this is simply FYI, for those who are interested.

Thank you, Metta, it is always imperative to heed all sides of any issue; unless, of course, your name is CDC, FDA, or Anthony Fauci, moron !

A high quality red light at 670nm can be used to activate mitochondria and decrease inflammation in the eye. Can be beneficial solo or as pre- and post-op therapy.
