Thank you to Dr. Saleeby for the short podcast that raised my awareness to look up issues with metronidazol which I have used topically for 2 years now for rosacea. I have felt a ‘shortness of breath’ recently & would not have considered a connection otherwise.

For skin issues, like rosacea, psoriasis and eczema, you may want to look into treatments for leaky gut and candida overgrowth:

FYI, beyond food elimination diets, there are some products specifically designed to manage candida. Note: The following products are not personal or medical recommendations. They are simply starting points for doing your own research:

    Best of luck!

As a practitioner myself and having rosacea I have a balanced gut microbiome and have had patients who have beautiful gut health but STILL have rosacea. I use and recommend an herbal cream from China that is the ONLY thing that works for any of us

I am so surprised that Dermatologists don’t seem to know about treatment of rosacea with ivermectin cream 1% (Rosiver 1% by Galderma). My dermatologist (third one got it right) prescribed ivermectin cream for severe rosacea that I had had for many years. Metronidazole did not work at all. The ivermectin cream cleared up my rosacea within one month and by two months I had beautiful skin! You have to use it continuously as prescribed to get results. So easy and changed my life. Please share this information as it is a lifesaver!

(Con’t) I no longer use the Rosiver cream. After six months I quit using it and the rosacea has never come back. Also, FYI, the dermatologist told me that rosacea is caused by a human facial demodex mite. That’s why ivermectin, which is an anti-parasitic, works so well.
