At the heart of the case: claims that Merck misrepresented Gardasil’s safety. Now, newly unsealed testimony from Dr. Peter Gøtzsche—a respected Danish physician and research methodologist—argues Merck designed its trials to hide potential harms.
Instead of using a true placebo (like saline), Merck used an aluminum-based adjuvant in most trials, making it harder to detect adverse effects.
