Lockdowns haven’t ended for the vulnerable

New England Pediatric Care in Billerica, Massachusetts has locked down residents again with no interactions with anyone outside of their rooms. Staff are masking again and most of the residents are nonverbal, deaf, or otherwise dependent on the ability to see human faces for communication. Although parents are allowed to visit, they are not allowed to take their child outside for a walk or anywhere outside the resident room.

At least one resident is being left lying in bed or sitting in a wheelchair staring at the ceilings/walls (even the television in the room was broken). The response to concerns was met with this is “policy” because someone else in the building has “the flu”.

Appalling that wrongful imprisonment and neglect of vulnerable children and adults is still being allowed!

@theornerynurse Ah, the unbridled anger rises in me again. It is beyond unconscionable.
