What will the loss of revenue due to the media economy? Fewer news programs, fewer newspapers and magazines, fewer online news outlets, less entertainment? None of which are major losses in my mind, but we’ve created quite a monster and some will argue the scheme is “too big to fail.”
👍 less is more??
I went to his Secretary Kennedy X account and did not see it yet. He usually posts anything new. Hope it’s true.
When was the last time we saw a political promise KEPT? Hallelujah! 🎉It is similar to cigarette advertising, isn’t it? Long overdue. Keep harmful substances from TV – and internet – advertising. Make our world a little safer. Remove profit as a reason or motive for being.
They won’t give it up without a fight I am sure, but if Pharma doesn’t own the media maybe we will get some honest reporting on medical issues. Would love to see it happen.
The way it is written – especially the last line – is not how RFKJ would write or what he would say. I went to Grok (AI on X) and this is what it said :
“Statements from the HHS press office, reported on March 24, 2025, explicitly clarify that claims of a ban are inaccurate, countering social media speculation. Any move to ban pharmaceutical TV ads would face significant legal and industry challenges, including First Amendment protections for commercial speech and resistance from a multi-billion-dollar advertising market, with no concrete action confirmed at this time.”
Thanks @gratitude … I do hope that it is something that RFK looks at, at some point.
I wonder if there was a legal precedent when they banned alcohol and cigarette advertising that would work to ban ads from pharma.

We have joined in the call to ban pharma ads.
The Independent Medical Alliance (IMA), a coalition of frontline doctors, today urged the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to enact an immediate ban on paid advertising for individual drugs.
