IVM Overall Benefits

    Hello ~
Sounds kind of crazy, but, I was curious if anyone who has never had COVID or other noticeable issues, taken IVM as a preventative; with the thought it would improve overall health due to viral and bacterial colonies that are being kept in check by your immune system, but could potentially ‘explode’ with a drop in your immune system.

Since it is safe, my thinking was, it couldn’t hurt to take a dose maybe every 6 months.

It appears the only discussions on prophylactic doses surround those with exposure or increased potential for.

Anyway…Thanks for your thoughts and/or opinions.

I fit your criteria. Have been taking 6mg tabs IVM every other day, alternating with Quercetin, for the past 3 years for prophy. It is a trickle dose to keep a minimal amount of IVM in my blood. I believe that there are so many good MOA’s for IVM that it should be part of the essential nutrients for our body. I am an n of 1 so will see how things turn out over time.

yes, I have done a low dose as prophy (12mg/day for 5 days) 3x/year, since Covid. The only time I’ve had any illness was last fall when I had forgotten to do it for ~ 6 months.

I’m not particularly certain if that dosage is enough for true prophy, but for myself, it seems to done well. I also generally average ~ 10,000 IU D3 (with k2), and ~ 50mg/week of zinc, so the combo seems to be enough…

Good point — especially for those of us stuck with immunosuppressive pharmaceuticals.

My doc doesn’t like the vaccines and won’t give them. They have to treat a lot of people for vaccine injuries.

She has me on ivermectin twice a week for “biofilm”, which is another issue I’ve had a problem with. I’m sure it’s helping prevent COVID, too. And I do nasal rinses with a little bit of hydrogen peroxide and colloidal silver added. Both can kill covid virus in the sinuses.

Even if you haven’t caught COVID or been injected you can have a valid reason due to shedding: https://imahealth.org/courses/conference-2024/lessons/shedding-is-real/ .

HI 4cphut, I’ve asked if the IMA has data on IVM use as prophylaxis. Will update when I find out.

I now take IVM 12mg 3 times a week for my prostate cancer. PSA is really down now due to my proton therapy. I was taking IVM daily at one time when diagnosed..

I took IVM for a period of 4 years to treat post vaccine syndromes. My schedule was around 12 mg IVM 3 times a week.
