Is it ever right to mandate medical products for an entire population?

This question has sparked intense debate, especially during COVID. But beyond the politics, what happens to the physicians who stand up for what they believe is in the best interest of their patients?

Join us this week as Dr. Kat Lindley sits down with Dr. Kirk Moore, a physician who faced up to 35 years in prison after administering saline instead of COVID-19 vaccines—with the full consent of his patients. His case, ultimately dismissed by Attorney General Pam Bondi, highlights the ethical and legal dilemmas doctors face under public health mandates.

We’d love to hear your thoughts:

Should doctors be punished for respecting patient autonomy?

Where should the line be drawn between public health and individual freedom?

How do we balance medical ethics with legal compliance?

“Informed Consent” I think sums it up nicely.

“Informed consent is a fundamental principle in healthcare and legal contexts, ensuring that individuals have the right to make decisions about their own bodies and medical treatments. It involves providing patients with comprehensive information about the proposed treatment, including its benefits, risks, and any alternative options available. This process empowers patients to make educated choices regarding their health and well-being.”

If informed consent is intact, then as far as I’m concerned things are good.

The obvious recent problem is big pharma has taken the driver’s seat, and then of course government gave them the green light. Big pharma has found its way to influence every medical governing body. So, what is a doctor to do? Use their best judgement and go against the governing bodies, or go along with the sham to ensure they are in good graces?

Whichever direction the doctor chooses, so long as informed consent is intact, you can’t fault the doctor, and the patient has the option to shop around for a different doctor.

I think the real underlying problem is that doctors are being coerced against their own good judgement.

I like statistics. One problem is that when you see a doctor, you are getting one viewpoint. What if part of informed consent involved getting a statistic that said that your doctor’s approach to addressing whatever problem you’re having is accepted by 80% of doctors, 99% of doctors, 50% of doctors or 24% of doctors? Depending on that percentage you might ask more questions or ask what the other opinions on the topic are, or think about finding another doctor.

A great idea @jrgerber – going to add that to the webinar questions.

I watched in horror in the covid years as people in various locations and in various occupations were required to be vaccinated.

I was also horrified to realize the war against life-saving ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine was motivated by purely political and profit motives and had absolutely nothing to do with health or safety.

If it weren’t for these experiences, I might assume the IMA is superfluous. But having had my eyes opened to the dark heart of evil that lurks within medicine, I’m very grateful that the IMA exists.
