  • Integrative Approach to ALS – Dr. Gazda and Dr. Kory

During the April 17, 2024 FLCCC Weekly Webinar, “Can Covid Cause Cognitive Impairment?”, I asked Drs. Gazda and Varone a question during Q&A. My question was if they had any recommendations for someone recently diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). My brother has recently been diagnosed, and is already experiencing progressive weakness in his legs and losing his ability to walk. So we feel the urgency of time as we seek ways to at least slow progression of this disease down.

In her response to my question, Dr. Gazda mentioned that she and Dr. Kory shared an integrative approach to ALS (her response starts at ~44:49 in the video). So my question now is: is there any way for me to get a copy of this approach (is it available to others)?

Thanks to Dr.s Gazda and Varone for discussing my question, and thanks to Joyce for selecting it during the Q&A! I was really grateful to them for sharing their insights.

I have the same question, but can’t see the reply. Can someone repost?

My mother-in-law was recently diagnosed with ALS after her 8th COVID shot. We are looking for ways to help slow or stop the progression.

Hi kh-rn, I can’t see mad dog melvin as a forum member anymore, and with stopping being a member they may well have opted to remove all postings. I can’t find the reply you’re looking for either.

Hi kn-rn, I am sorry to hear of your MIL’s ALS diagnosis.

It has been over a year since my original posts here, and if my memory serves, I never did find a copy of the protocol mentioned by Dr. Gazda. I think Mad Dog Melvin sent me some info that was related to the topic, but not the protocol. Meanwhile, life events intruded on my efforts to help my brother, and I am still trying to find a way to stop or slow down the progression of the disease. He now is wheelchair bound, and his legs are very weak.

The most recent direction I am interested in pursuing is finding out if DMSO may be able to help slow/stop the progression of ALS. An article by The Midwestern Doctor on DMSO has generated a lot of excitement, with the number of hard-to-treat diseases and conditions it seems able to address. Another miracle drug that was buried by the medical establishment, from what I am reading. And there seems to even be a faint whiff of hope for stopping progress of ALS. [Reference the article: “How DMSO Treats “Incurable” Autoimmune and Contractile Disorders”, https://www.midwesterndoctor.com/p/how-dmso-treats-incurable-autoimmune , 10/20/2024.]

In the article, after a section on Multiple Sclerosis, the Midwestern Doctor adds the following:

“Note: there was also a reported case of Stanley Jacob treating a patient with ALS which resulted in “some instant, overnight and slightly delayed wonders of therapy,” and this user reported she saw it visibly improve the condition. In our own experience IV DMSO is one of the only things which can treat ALS (typically it halts the progression of the disease).””

So my thought was to try to find someone with knowledge and experience in the use of DMSO, ideally including its use for neurodegenerative diseases, and seek their advice. E.g., I might try checking with Dr. Kory and Scott Marsland at the Leading Edge Clinic (I know Dr. Kory has written about using DMSO, and I have consulted with Scott on health issues before ).

Alternatively, I would consider trying to consult with a highly reputable and experienced neurologist, who emphasizes identifying and treating the root causes of an individual’s disease (like Dr. Gazda).

I hope this helps, kh-rn. I would love to learn from others’ experiences as well!
