I have been trying to find a functional medicine doctor that thinks along the line of IMA in Orange County, CA. I wish I had Drs Saleeby, Turner, or Carmen close. Does anyone know of some of someone that they have had experience with?

I, too, am looking for doctors like this as well. I have looked at the doctors resource in the IMA site I also used chat gpt to search and to cross reference these doctors and others. I have a friend and his wife who got good results form this doctor and clinic and I have an appointment in June. These are NDs as opposed to MDs. I would actually like to see both or have a combination. I am also on medicare. While it would be nice if they took medicare fully or partially , not at all is ok.

Many doctors I see listed tend to specialize as opposed to generalize.

But I am still looking .

    These looked interesting: https://lamclinic.com/

This was on the IMA list. https://amaregenmed.com/

While I understand why practitioners don’t take medicare or medicaid, functional medicine has become an elitist system that only wealthy people can use. We already have an elitist medical industry where only those with high incomes can get the best treatment options. Functional medicine exacerbates the problem. I see no response from IMA practitioners for dealing with this elitism problem

Can’t help you in Orange county, but could offer timely info. We live north of Seattle and have found a wonderful functional health doctor. MD. He charges $125 per month for Medicare patients and doesn’t bill Medicare except for blood work. You can visit, text, email as often as needed. Everything is included. He functions as a our primary care doc. I feel this is a very reasonable price to pay for this kind of doctor and this kind of care. He’s checking blood work every 3 months. Also has done other types of testing. Keep looking for this kind of doctor.

Thats such a great service, we know a few of our doctors are using this model too, let’s hope we see more and more doctors starting to offer this independent service. If they are open to it, they should add their name to our directory.

@[email protected] would you consider doing a telehealth appointment? I know these doctors do them and have space available for new patients.

    1. Dr. Michael Turner

    2. Dr. Saleeby

    Dr. Mollie James

The other suggestion is to look for integrative healthcare providers in your area, that are prepared to work through the cancer protocols with you, AI can be helpful, with finding them for you. Then it will mean a few calls to establish what services they are happy to provide and to see if they suit your requirements.

This link to a map displays the locations of 2646 direct primary care (DPC) practices across all 50 states.

    https://mapper.dpcfrontier.com/

For direct primary care doctors https://jointhewedge.com/ through the Stand for Health Freedom organization. They have a network of over 500 physicians, including direct primary care and direct specialist care practices from across the United States.

We have a good article about choosing the right doctor that may be worth a read https://imahealth.org/how-to-change-your-doctor/

We are focusing on building the provider directory, but unfortunately it all takes time. Hope the above helps in the meantime.
