Witnessing the catastrophic flooding in Spain from the DANA storm, the FLCCC Alliance expresses its deepest sympathy and unwavering support for the people of Valencia, Cuenca, and Albacete, who have been affected. We are devastated by the immense loss of life, the hundreds of missing individuals, and the countless families left without homes, food, clean water, or safe shelter. The human suffering and public health challenges facing these communities are immense, and we stand in solidarity with the people of Spain as they endure this tragedy.

The FLCCC Alliance is committed to supporting relief efforts in every way possible. We recognize the dedication of the Spanish people and their resilience in responding to this disaster. We join them in calling on local and national authorities to declare an official state of emergency, mobilize resources, and provide immediate aid to prevent further loss of life and health risks. Furthermore, we echo the call for the Spanish government to allow more extensive entry of humanitarian supplies into affected areas and facilitate a rapid cleanup, removing hazardous debris and ensuring sanitary conditions.

Along with our global network of partners, we will continue to advocate for the health and safety of all individuals affected by this disaster and collaborate with global and local organizations committed to aiding the people of Spain in this critical time.
