on August 10, 2025 at 8:56 pm EDTWe are considering use of DMSO to reduce issues (cough, shortness of breath, etc) associated with interstitial lung disease in a family member. We are seeking a provider knowledgeable about this treatment option. We are located in Santa Barbara, California and may travel to the provider or use tele-health. Thanks for your assistance.

So sorry to hear about your family member’s health challenges.
Have you had a chance to look through our provider list – it may mean contacting a few providers to see if they have experience with DMSO for interstitial lung disease?

Hopefully someone has a recommendation in the group.

Hi!
We have two friends in Grand Junction, CO who have successfully used DSMO to help their chronic lung condition.
Our first friend is in his 80’s, was a long-time smoker, and now has COPD and fibro-myalgia. He was having to take his oxygen tank with him from his house to his garden in the backyard. We forwarded several Mercola and A Midwestern Doctor articles about DMSO. As I understand, he started using the DMSO in his nebulizer, and had great improvement in his lung function to where he now does not need his oxygen tank to go back and forth.
Our second friend is also in her 80’s. She was also a long-time smoker and has COPD. We have known her since 2021, when we would go to meetings, and she always had her oxygen with her. In the last 6-months she reached out to us, and we forwarded her some information on DMSO, and described what we ourselves were doing — 10 drops daily in a glass of water. She started using the DMSO, and now is able to go throughout the day without using oxygen, and only puts it on in the evening before she goes to bed. While we no longer live in Grand Junction, other friends who do have remarked back to us how much better she is doing, and now they are asking us for more information about DMSO.
For what is worth, I subscribe to the A Midwestern Doctor website, and he has put forth many amazing, and detailed, articles on the use of DMSO. I’ve been saving each one as I read, and while I’ve not yet read through his entire archive, I can count 18 different articles he has written on DMSO between Sept.15 last year and now. A good example is his article from July 6 this year titled, “DMSO heals the lungs and cures chronic respiratory diseases.” I would be glad to share that article if you reach out back to me.

I live in UK and would really appreciate you sharing the article you mention. If you would be so kind. I’m not sure how to share contact details, not very tech savvy.

Hello Everyone, I’m new to this forum (and not particularly tech savvy.) I also subscribe to A Midwestern Doctor & have printed out some of his essys on DMSO. My question is about the use of DMSO for treating glaucoma. I’m 79 years old, and was diagnosed with glaucoma last year. (I also had cataract surgery in 2024). I would like to hear from anyone who has successfully used DMSO to treat glaucoma, as I have been given eye drops containing beta blockers & I’m not happy taking this allopathic medicine for my glaucoma.
I send my best wishes to all of you in your quest for health and well being, and look forward to replies from anyone with specific knowledge of using DMSO to treat glaucoma. I was an early member of FLCCC, and it’s wonderful to see how this movement forl health and truth has grown. Three cheers for Doctors Kory, Marik & others👍🙏 Dee Cope, Cornwall, United Kingdom

Hi Dee, welcome. I think I’ve read most of what the mid western doctor has recorded about DMSO. I use it every day mainly for niggly, not very important pain in my toe and there was tooth pain a couple of times, and it worked very well. For glaucoma, I have nothing to offer, and also I’m not medically trained, but thank you for your question.
My father does apply it locally for macular degeneration, and he thinks it’s helping.
If anyone has experience, please do note it here.

Hi Dee,
I note you mention you also are subscribed to A Midwestern Doctor. He published an article on 2024-10-31 titled, “How DMSO Cures Eye Ear Nose Throat and Dental Disease”. In this article there are 7 references to DSMO being used to help treat glaucoma.
We also have a friend who has helped treat his macular degeneration with castor oil (rubbing on and above the eyelids), and he is convinced he has had notable improvement since he was first diagnosed.

I have just started nebulizing DMSO for emphysema and lung cancer. I started with sodium chlorite in saline, but thought DMSO would be a more potent treatment after I got some guidance on how to dose it. I dose 2 drops of 99.9% pure liquid in 5 ml of saline. I seem to tolerate it effortlessly, except for a slight aftertaste. It is too soon to remark on efficacy. (No practitioners I am aware of in my area know about any of these kinds of treatments. I got info. on-line and forged ahead on my own.)

There is an A Midwestern Doctor article from 2025-08-02 titled, “DMSO Mixtures Transform Natural Medicine”…. This is an extensive article, approximately 51 pages. The gist is that there are just so many areas where combining another treatment with DMSO can make it more effective, whether for cancer, or skin care. etc.
On pages 40-42 he discusses DMSO and sodium chlorite. One of his bulleted options there references nebulizing with DMSO and activated MMS: “Nebulize DMSO (3 drops 99% DMSO in 2.5mL saline
or distilled water), wait 5 minutes, nebulize 2.5mL CDS, 25-35ppm (3 activated
MMS drops in 120mL).”I hope this can be useful for you! /// Thomas Sheeran

I’m also a subscriber to AMD. Another interesting property of DMSO is it’s ability to penetrate and carry other meds. I’ve also been using mebendazole (among many repurposed drugs and supplements) for lung cancer. It is not easily absorbed when taken orally, so I have been crushing my tablets with mortar and pestle and taking them with high quality olive oil. I crush the last dose of the day and make a paste out of it with several drops of DMSO, and apply it to my chest topically. My next scan is in November, and we’ll see. DMSO is versatile, and well-tolerated as long as one doesn’t overdo.

Good luck, I hope it works for you. I get so bogged down with where to glean the best information, though I have to give a huge thank you to wyoming_rocks for sending me a lot of very useful information.

As a point of reference, my wife nebulized 12 drops DMSO in 10 ml of premade saline as an aid to her interstial lung condition. No improvement nor harm was seen in doing this for two weeks. We determined the dosing by a close reading of Midwestern Doctors writings on lung conditions. She worked her way up to this dose. AMD wrote of success stories for emphysyma so we hope you benefit.
