Although we wrapped things up at lunchtime on the final day, a half-day certainly didn’t mean half-measures.

We ended strong with three insightful panel discussions—each one offering fresh perspectives and powerful takeaways. A definite crowd favorite was the panel featuring. Cole, Dr. Malone, and Dr. Martenson, where they shared stories about their farms and homesteads. There’s something deeply inspiring about hearing how these leaders in science are also reconnecting with the land. Maybe it’s because farming represents the ultimate form of independence—or maybe we all just love a glimpse behind the scenes of our Fellows’ lives.

I know I left that session feeling motivated. As Dr. Cole said, you can start small—even with a few herbs on a windowsill—and that’s exactly what I plan to do. How about you—do you grow any of your own food?

As the day wound down, no one seemed in a hurry to say goodbye. It was hard to leave behind new friendships, renewed hope, and the shared sense of purpose that filled every hallway and conversation. And just as we began packing up, the skies opened up with heavy rains and flight delays—almost as if even the weather was reluctant for this gathering to end.

To everyone who joined us in Atlanta: thank you. And to our extended IMA family who couldn’t be there in person but supported us from afar—you were absolutely with us in spirit.

Here’s to carrying this energy forward—and continuing the movement for Honest Medicine together. 💙
