Hi everyone- you may already be aware but in case you’re not there has been a lot of speculation about Apeel / edipeel being used in Bragg Apple cider vinegar – due to Katy Perry being an investor in Bragg and separately Katy is an investor in Apeel.

I contacted Bragg directly and this is what has been confirmed by Bragg…. I called Bragg spoke to Judy.

She said they get their apples from Washington State/ NY state and California- organic non gmo directly from those orchards

The primary owner investors are Swander Pace Capital with 75% owner ship

    Katy owns piddly 5 %

They will never use Apeel or edipeel or any coating. Any coating will destroy the fermentation process.

I wasn’t sure what percentage Katy had and if her influence would matter to encourage Apeel down the road ? Or others she knows who believe in Apeel, who might also be invested? But since Swander Pace owns at least 75% than her influence isn’t a big deal.

Patricia Bragg ( who passed away not that long ago) chose Swander Pace because they share the same values she did.

As far as Apeel and Edipeel which have been in grocery stores for a while now, they are also bring used in restaurants. Be aware of where you decide to eat. Restaurants chose the produce from grocery stores. If they are not aware of Apeel or if restaurant owners believe in it, they’ll use it to serve their customers.

Thanks so much for that clarification about Apeel! I’m careful to look for the sticker on my produce but often wonder if it’s being used on/in some things and not being reported. Glad to hear the Bragg’s ACV is still a reliable and safe choice. Here is an article a friend in Canada sent me this week on Apeel with some interesting info:
