    Hi to All,

For those who have taken Augmented NAC, are you experiencing any side effects?

I am currently taking 3/ daily since Early August. I am coming up on 1 month and plan on taking for 3 months, according to Dr. Tina Peers.

While my skin has improved drastically and my mental clarity is off the charts great… I have noticed a slight change in my vision.

I had my eyes checked recently and the Dr. said everything was as normal with no change.

Has anyone experienced this? I do know they have said Aug NAC does cross the blood brain barrier so I was curious to see if anyone is experiencing this symptoms?

    Please advise. Ty

No helpful response here but very grateful for your question. Augmented NAC seems like a miracle supplement (I have not taken it, but recommended it with a link to the interview) and always good to know of people’s responses. So thank you for your question.

You raise a great question, hopefully those who have experience will chime in. Because it’s what we do I did the AI question thing. Here is the answer: Probably not as helpful as you’d like it to be, and also how trustworthy too? Also I searched our website and we don’t have anything on Augmented NAC side effects. Hopfully in time. Anyway here it is: The question I asked was – Are there vision impairments listed as a side effect of augmented NAC?

Blurred vision: Frequency not reported, described as rare.

    • Eye pain, puffy eyes, redness/irritation: More likely with ophthalmic use but occasionally reported.

    • Eye irritation: Listed among common mild side effects with oral supplementation.

    Evidence from Clinical Trials

In clinical studies on NAC for retinal disorders like retinitis pigmentosa (RP), oral NAC was associated with improvements in vision, not impairments, and was well tolerated with few ocular side effects, mostly limited to gastrointestinal symptoms. However, researchers caution against unsupervised use due to unknown risks at higher doses.

    Conclusion

Vision impairments are reported as rare or infrequent side effects of NAC supplementation, primarily involving mild ocular discomfort or blurred vision. Most clinical data suggest NAC may actually support retinal health when prescribed for specific conditions such as RP, but more data on long-term or high-dose effects are needed.

Ty for your feedback! It is very strange and does appear to be more of a blurred vision issue! I am hoping it goes away but definitely want to be cautionary in taking if it is getting worse.

It started a couple of weeks after I went to the higher dose of 3/ daily. I may back off to 2/ daily if it persists and then see how it goes.

If anyone has additional information please feel free to post here.

I will reach back out to zero spike . Org to see if they can assist with information

Or perhaps if there is a way to contact Dr Tina Peers, she might have an interesting response.

I watched a presentation by her about the ‘mechanism of action ‘ and the best she could come up with it is based on ‘quantum physics’ = not very encouraging to me anyway.

I’ve been taking the 3x a day (600mg) of Augmented NAC since May 7th. I’ve gone beyond the 3 months and with no side effects. My wife did it with me, but she ended at the 3-month mark. I think she only noticed subtle GI issues like loose stool at the very beginning, but the body adjusted.

You wouldn’t happen to be taking Ivermectin as well, would you? I know that too high of a dose of Ivermectin can be associated with blurred vision, in which case you simply lower the dose.

I’m trying to stretch my imagination on NAC and vision but not coming up with how the two could be connected.

I did reach out to Zerospike.org and they also said to make sure I am not taking with other supplements that could cause the blurred vision.

I am not taking Ivermectin but was taking ATP 360 which is a mitochondrial repair supplement. I have eliminated this and my eyes appear to be better.

I will continue on my 3/daily of Aug NAC until NOVEMBER and then taper off to 1/daily.

The AUG NAC is so beneficial in many ways… it is a game changer for me.

    Ty to all for feedback
