ACIP Chair Dr Kirk Milhoan Just Lost His Cardiology Post… Yes Really!!
The Chair of CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and Independent Medical Alliance (IMA) Senior Fellow, Dr. Kirk Milhoan has been fired from his role as a pediatric cardiologist apparently because of his service on the ACIP committee under HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“I’m absolutely stunned,” said Dr. Kat Lindley, Director of IMA’s Fellowship Program. “There is nobody with higher integrity and character, and who is more demanding of a scientific and data-backed approach to medicine than Dr. Milhoan. This firing makes me think that doctors who question prevailing guidelines will still be pushed out, leaving you as a patient with fewer truly independent voices? Do you agree?

Just read this on Dr. Malone’s substack. Hope it is true . . .
Dr. Kim Milhoan, Dr. Kurt Milhoan’s wife writes “UNFIRED”:
A trusted colleague from Kirk’s institution reached out to Kirk during the day Thursday after hearing what happened, expressing his support and pledging intervention. I cannot tell you what that phone call meant to me. He is a man of integrity and has my gratitude. That was the just defense I had hoped for.
He called back to invite Kirk to continue in his position when we were in the airport, about to leave Hong Kong. I am updating this status during a layover.

I’m glad his firing was reversed.
Meanwhile, The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons tries pretty hard to encourage and advise and encourage doctors about departing from corporate practice. Even neurosurgeons have been able to quit paying insurance companies and Medicare and make more money by offering lower prices (due to their grossly reduced overhead) patients can afford to pay with cash. Believe it or not!

Lets hope this is the model of the future, sort of a return to the past.

Good news and bad news. Good news because he can return to his old job. Bad news because the culture of his employment is toxic enough to question the value of returning; rather to find a more welcoming environment at someplace else. Personally I would look elsewhere. Once you lose trust it is hard to get it back.
