Thank you @horaortiz these are some wonderful doctors that paid a very hefty price for standing up for all of us.

But, sadly, this isn’t the first time physicians have faced consequences for challenging prevailing norms, history gives us examples ranging from Semmelweis, who promoted handwashing and was ridiculed for this (hard to even imagine) to Wakefield who challenged childhood vaccine safety and was attacked and cancelled.

I suppose the big question, is how do we create a system where physicians can question, debate, and individualize care without fear?
