My friend’s son was diagnosed with Hereditary Spherocytosis years ago. It’s a red blood cell affliction similar to Sickle Cell Anemia. He’s 25 years old. He’s been in the hospital for 5 days. He’s on oxygen and been given 2 blood transfusions.

The doctors now want to remove his spleen.
