This season, we’re feeling especially grateful for you, our courageous, truth-seeking community. Your voices, questions, and commitment to Honest Medicine and compassionate care continue to inspire all of us at the IMA.

As we gather with family and reflect on what matters most…

👉 What are YOU grateful for this year?

Is it a moment of healing?

    A hard-earned insight?

A person who stood by you?

Or simply the strength to keep asking questions?

Independence Day message from Dr. Joseph Varon, IMA President and Chief Medical Officer:

This Independence Day, we celebrate not just the founding of our nation, but the enduring spirit of freedom that defines who we are as Americans. It’s a time to remember that liberty isn’t just a historical principle—it’s a living mandate. In healthcare, that means the right to informed consent, medical transparency, and patient-first care. At the Independent Medical Alliance, we believe that true medical freedom is an extension of the very ideals this country was built on.

Now more than ever, we need independent voices in medicine—voices willing to stand up to censorship, challenge conflicts of interest, and fight for truth. This Fourth of July, we remain hopeful and committed to rebuilding a healthcare system grounded in honesty, integrity, and science. Together, with courage and conviction, we can restore trust, protect patients, and redefine what it means to care.

I am grateful that my mother lived to within 24 days of her 98th birthday. January was a tough month for me losing my mother but I was able to spend the last 4 months of her life with her and express how much I loved her and appreciated her giving me life. I wish that she had taken better care of her health over the years but I believe that she was blessed with great genes that helped her live a long life. Hopefully my genes will be as strong as hers and I am doing my part to maintain a healthy lifestyle with my vegan diet and a growing knowledge of healthy living information. IMA is a big part of that medical and nutrition knowledge.
